Daciao Elementary School was approved by the Ministry of Education in 1985. The first phase of the school infrastructure was not completed until a year later in 1986. At the time Tainan municipal government intended to create a modernized school combing the elements of education, physical activities and lifestyle.
Daciao elementary school is located at a rapidly growing community with a high population growth rate. The total number of students enrolled in Daciao increased from 600 students to 4000 students by the year of 1992. During the time, Daciao experienced an extreme lack of classrooms to cope with increasing enrollments. This issue was not resolved until years later when several elementary schools were set up in the district. In 2015, we will be celebrating our 30th anniversary. Looking forward, Daciao elementary school is continuously aiming to provide the highest quality of primary education in accordance with the 9 year curriculum guideline from Ministry of Education. We focus not only on students’ academic performance but also their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
